Forex (FX) is not trading stocks, futures or options, it is the large market through which currency is traded. Members work things out pretty much on their own through word of mouth and credit type agreements. Since you know you must depend on trading with each other day to day, each member have to do so honestly and fairly. Self-regulation is the key to controlling the Forex market.

When you are trading on the Forex market there are less governing bodies to deal with, which means less binding rules and regulations. For instance, in the Forex world, there is no such thing as “insider trading”. If you know something either harmful or beneficial to the exchange rate of the US dollar or other currency, then feel free to profit on that information at will. On the other hand if you were dealing on the stock exchange with that information, such activity would get you in hot water to say the very least.
